Music tuition
Learning a musical instrument is supposed to be fun. The most fun and satisfying thing you do is to be able to play your instrument well.
To do this effectively requires several things:
1. A desire to learn
2. An instrument to learn on
3. A teacher/coach who can help you define your goals and help you achieve those goals.
4. A regular practise time - preferably each day
My teaching philosophy is to provide wholistic musical concepts that develop the musician, not just the player. Sometimes this might mean working on rhythm/time development, other times it could be developing your ear. Whatever it is, we can look at it.
It’s because of this I am able to teach non-keyboard musicians. I teach keyboardists/pianists, guitarists, bassists as well as general contemporary musicianship.
Clicking on the audio tab will take you to some examples of my playing - and the styles that I teach - as well as music composed and programmed by myself.
Check them out.
One thing I have learnt over the years is that many people learn and are inspired differently. In the blog section I would love it if you would like to comment about this. Maybe you learnt as a child but gave up for various reasons but would now like to begin again - what’s your motivation?
Perhaps you have a wish list of things that you’d like to learn or try. This is a blog after all so feel free to write ‘em down.
